Herbs For Pregnancy, Birth, and Breastfeeding

Keeping with the ‘birth’ theme of April…

Most people who work with midwives get guidance as to herbal teas that can help you throughout pregnancy, post-partum, and breastfeeding.  We carry a line of amazing organic & wild harvested herbal teas and tinctures.  Here’s what they can do for you:

Cord Care Powder: Goldenseal and Oregon Grape Root dusting powder helps to heal the umbilical cord stump of your newborn.  Newborn babies are so so amazing!

Pregnancy tea:  this is a nutritive tea (meaning it helps with your calcium and iron as well as the minerals that you need).  Drink this all the time throughout pregnancy – it tastes great and is great for you, share it with your whole family!

Lactation Tea: We meet so many mamas who have a low milk supply when their child is young, but do not take action soon enough and so end up having to use formula instead.  Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with formula when you need it.  But if you want to breastfeed it is so helpful to have a tub of this tea waiting in your kitchen to help improve the quality and quantity of your milk.

After Birth Sitz Bath: This is a must-have, most expecting mamas buy 2 tubs to help with the healing and soothing process post-partum.

Raspberry Tea:  Straight up raspberry leaf tea is a time-honored way to tone your uterus.  This tea should not be used in the first trimester, but is great any time after that.
