Picture Books Worth Reading

Installment two in the ‘Picture Books Worth Reading’ department…

All The World by Liz Garton Scanton, illustrated by the wonderful Marla Frazee is a Caldecott Medal winner.

I love kids books where the message is simple enough to speak to little kids, but engaging enough to speak to the reader too:

“Slip, trip, stumble, fall…Tip the bucket, spill it all.  Better luck another day…All the world goes round this way.”

That’s gorgeous.  And the large pictures are wonderful illustrations that take us through the celebration of each day’s ups and downs.
