Life with a new baby, whether it’s your first child or not, means some crazy hormones swinging around plus major lifestyle changes. And then on top of all that you can barely sleep and you’re 40 pounds heavier than you were 9 months ago. awesome.

Not a cure all, but a cup of tea definitely won’t hurt. This is the recipe for ‘Blues’ tea passed onto me by my midwife Elizabeth Moore:

mix up:
1/2 oz dried, shredded licorice root
1 oz rasperry leaf
1 oz rosemary
1 oz skullcap

to steep, add 2 teaspoons of the dried tea mixture per 1 cup of boiling water.

Drink 2 or more cups per day for two moons.
