bubbles

Here is my recipe:

1) Go to the drug store and buy yourself a magazine and a chocolate bar. Hide both. Also buy glycerin.

2) When the time comes, mix 2 T glycerin, 4 T dish soap (must be joy or ivory brand, the natural stuff does not work), & 1 cup water. I measure it all into a pyrex and then dole it out into old spice jars so that it gets spilled in smaller increments.

3) Put the kids outside with bubbles and blowing devices (fat rubberbands, bent wire hangers, old wands from store-bought bubbles, etc).

4) You are pretty much guaranteed 20 minutes to lay on the couch, read your magazine, and eat a chocolate bar. yum.
